Nassau Daily Review-Star, Monday, September 11, 1944Miss Silipo Bride of Sergeant Laricos
Announcement was made today of the marriage of Miss Felicia Maria Silipo, daughter of Mrs. Hyacinth Silipo and the late Mr. Silipo, of East Dean Street, Freeport, and Sergeant Nicholas Laricos, of Harding Place, Freeport, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Laricos. The ceremony took place August 15, at the Greek Orthodox Church of Jamaica.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Fortunate Silipo, wore a white street-length gown of lace and net with a shoulder veil caught with gardenias and a corsage of gardenias. Miss Angela Cotiginola of Freeport, was maid of honor, and George Semetus of Brooklyn was best man for Sergeant Laricos. Both are graduates of Freeport High school. After a two weeks' wedding trip the bride returned to her home, and her husband, to Camp Polk, La., where he is stationed with the infantry.

The wedding of Miss Peggy C. Gabriel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. John Gabriel of No. 300 Washington avenue, formerly of Newport, R. I., and George Peter Semetis, son of Mrs. Peter Semetis, also of Brooklyn, took place Sunday in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Constantine. The Rev. Demetrius Vichenchos officiated. A reception followed. Miss Frieda Semetis, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Rita Glamkowski and Miss Theodora Freund were bridal attendants. Marguerite Ann Laskas was flower girl. Nicholas Laskas was best man and the ushers were George Doukas and George Laskas.

Miss Peggy C. Gabriel Married Yesterday
Miss Peggy C. Gabriel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. John Gabriel of 300 Washington Ave., was married to George Peter Semetis, son of Mrs. Peter Semetis, also of Brooklyn, and the late Mr. Semetis, yesterday in St. Constantine's Greek Orthodox Church. The Rev. Demetrius Vichenchos officiated. A small reception was held at home and then a dinner party in Manhattan for the bridal party.
The bride wore a fitted satin gown with sweetheart neckline. Fingertip illusion veil falling from a Queen Anne cap made of heirloom lace, which the bride's grandmother wore. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids and lilies of the valley. Miss Frieda Semetis of Brooklyn, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Rita Glamkowski of Brooklyn and Miss Theodora Freund of Forest Hill. The maid of honor wore fitted yellow chiffon gown and carried a cascade bouquet of blue delphinium with yellow roses with matching flowers in her hair. The bridesmaids wore fitted blue chiffon gowns and carried cascade bouquets of yellow roses with blue delphinium. Nicholas Laskas of Brooklyn was best man.
The bride was graduated from St. Angela Hall Academy and attended Pratt Institute and Browne's Business College.
After an extended trip throughout the New England States the couple will reside in Brooklyn.
