On May 16, 2013, PLOUMOU GAGINIS of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife of the late John Gaginis; devoted mother of George (Geraldine) and Steve (Kalliope) Gaginis; loving sister of Maria Firippis and Theodoros (Euthoxia) Moisakis; adoring grandmother of John, Christopher, and Louis Gaginis, Joanna (Andreas) Georgiou and Irene (Daniel) Markulik; proud great-grandmother of George Stefanos Georgiou. Also survived by her loving nephews and nieces, Manolis and Chrissa Firippis, Pantelis and Ioanna Firippis, Argyrios and Kiki Moisakis, Maria and Louis Gatanas and their families and her sisters-in-law, Lemonia and Koula Ganginis and their families.Relatives and friends are invited to call at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave., at Harrison St., NW, Washington, DC, Sunday, May 19 from 6 to 9 p.m., with prayers at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 36th St. and Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, DC, Monday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
