Summit--James T. Nikas died Thursday at home after a long illness. He was 80. Mr. Nikas was born in Greece and lived in New York City before moving to Summit 30 years ago. He owned a restaurant in Boonton for many years, before retiring 15 years ago. Mr. Nikas served in the Army in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 124 and the Kiwanis Club of Boonton. Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a daughter, Marie Combias, Summit; a brother, Peter, New York City; and three grandchildren.
