Individual Details
Dimitrios Christakos
(Bef 1750 - )
There must be more than one Dimitrios Christakos in Koumousta and Xirokambi. There is a Dimitrios, father of Georgitsa who was born about 1843 - he could be the one who is named in the Koumousta book and was age 50 in 1830 making his birth year about 1794; and Dimitrios who is the potential father of Michalis, Thanasis and Nikolaos who must have been born before 1775.
Thanasis and Nikolaos Christakos - Christakakia, children of Christakos. They are listed immediately under Dimitrios, leading us to think Dimitrios is the father and they are brothers ; Michalakis Christakos is older, living on his own

Origin of families by Dimitris V. Christakos
My family comes from Koumousta. My distant ancestor was Christos Rizos, who, as mentioned in the Codex of Golas in 1761, "dedicated two fields, one to Kofinidou and the other to Etean (Itia) to remember Griorgakis, Panagiotis, Christos and Margarita". The short name Christos was derived from the surname Christakos and Rizos remained as a nickname. It is certain that the chieftain Antonios Koumustiotis descended from the same family (Christakos), as did the Kyriakakakos family.
