Birth and death dates from death certificate. Copy obtained from PatBrown, who probably got it from Mike McCoy. She was killed in anaccident caused by a runaway horse.
Her place of birth was written by Veda Dillon McCoy on the back of aphoto. I cannot find Cordova, IL, on a current map.

"Mrs. Dillon Killed. The Delta of this morning says:
J. C. McCabe of Porterville brought the news to town yesterday thatMrs. Nathan Dillon, well known here, was accidentally killed lastSaturday evening about 6 o'clock on the Milo grade.
Mrs. Dillon and Miss Edna Dillon, daughter of George Dillon, were ontheir way down the Milo grade. While crossing a bridge above Milo theneck-yoke slipped out of place and the horses ran away. Miss Dillonwas thrown out and her arm dislocated.
Mrs. Dillon was found in a dying condition a short ways from thebridge. Her jaw was broken and her head badly lacerated. She had alsobeen kicked or struck in the breast. Mrs. Dillon only lived half anhour.
The horses continued on down the road and the buggy was completelywrecked.
Coroner McCabe was summoned,, but he did not deem it necessary to holdan inquest.
Mrs. Dillon, formerly Miss Marshall, was married about seven yearsago, and is well known in this vicinity. She was 41 years of age. Sheleft a little child."
