Troy - Frank Landers, 71, of 117 S. Moore Lane, Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Troy, died Thursday at his residence.
He was born Feb. 11, 1912 in Darke County.
Mr. Landers was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Troy, a volunteer with Community Action Council and was retired from Hobart Brothers Co.
Survivors include his widow, the former Lucille Horner, two daughters, Mary Newman, Hot Springs, Ark., and Mrs. Ervin Smith (Dorothy), Pleasant Hill; two sons, Robert Landers, Mount Ida, Ark., and Gerald (Jerry) Landers, Piqua; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son, two daughters, a sister and four grandchildren preceded him in death.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Howard Posey. Burial will take place in Gettysburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m/ at Deeter-Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market St."
On June 29, 1983, another one read: "Pleasant Hill - Frank Landers, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Troy, died May 26, 1983 at his residence. A daughter, Mrs. Ervin Smith (Dorothy), is a local survivor.
Other survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Horner; another daughter, Mary Newman, Hot Springs, Ark.; two sons, Robert Landers, Mount Ida, Ark., and Gerald (Jerry) Landers, Piqua; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
