FUNERAL RITES HELD HERE FOR
MARY C DUNCAN
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Myers Chapel for Mrs. MaryC Duncan, 71, who passed away Tuesday noon, in a Tulare hospital. Alarge number of friends were present for the services and there was aprofusion of flowers.
The Rev. Lawrence Wells of the First Christian Church officiated, andMrs. Lela Dietz sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Sweet Hour ofPrayer". Mis Carolyn Simonic was at the chapel organ.
The casket bearers were Clover Eldridge, Claude Brown, C.B. Smith, andL.C. Kaylor, Sr. Interment was in the Home of Peace Cemetery.
Mrs. Duncan, a native of Dade County, Missouri, had been a resident ofthis community for 42 years. She is survived by her husband, GrantDuncan; a son, Raymond Duncan; a sister Mrs. Cynthia Duncan,Porterville; a brother, Louie Evans, Wilmington, California. Twograndchildren, Michael Ray Duncan and Dana Duncan; and the followinghalf sisters and brothers: Mrs. Bessie Duncan, Visalia; Mrs. LucyLisman, Lemoore; Cary Harp, Los Angeles; Mrs. Sarah Newbury, Coalings;Mrs. Flossie Stutsman, Taft; George Landers, Long Beach and CharlesLanders, Lemoore."
