Emma's mother, Jane Dixon, built a house next door (on the north side)to the Rileys in the fall of 1909 or early 1910, after the death ofher husband, James in Oregon. Jane Dixon made her home there, withFreddie living with her, until about 1922 when she sold the house andmoved to Oregon to live with Hattie, then later moved to McFarland andlived with her youngest son Marshall and family. She had her ownlittle house in Marshall's yard. In 1926 they moved to Pomona and shehad a little apartment in Marshall's house.
