According to The Behler book by Todd Yarbrough, Bernhard Behlar served in the Revolutionary War, under Capt. George Riehm, Pv. 1st Class, 5th Co. 1776 Pay information states Bernard Behlar--Paid 0-4-0 [presumably shillings]. Todd said that many of the records found for this couple were from the Allegheny Union Church in Brecknock Twp.,Berks Co., PA. Bernhard and Elizabeth are probably buried here, but many of the stones are no longer legible.
