John Robert (Bob) Webster, a resident of Lindsay for 67 years, wasborn on May 5, 1916 to John and Mary Webster in Riverdale, CA he wenthome to God on March 6, 2007 in Lindsay, CA . A memorial service willbe held at First Presbyterian Church in Lindsay, on Saturday, March17, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Bob graduated from Lemoore High School andFresno State University with his degree in Chemistry. Bob married hislife long love Phyllis Fridlund, on August 21, 1943 and together theywere blessed with two sons and one daughter. They built their hometogether after their work days and resided there together for most oftheir 63 years of marriage. Bob was employed by Lindsay Olive Plant asa Chemist for 42 years where he successfully completed 12 inventionsincluding 3 patents that are still used today to process foodproducts. he received numerous awards as an employee and a civicperson. Bob was an accomplished violinist and comedian. He was able tocombine his talents to bring joy to the community through his comedyact that showed his skill with his music. he was the fiddler on theRoof during the Lindsay production of the play. Bob was a member ofKiwanis Club, Tulare County Symphony, Lindsay Chamber and Orange BeltToastmasters. he was also a member and Elder of the First PresbyterianChurch in Lindsay where he also taught a Sunday school class. Bob issurvived by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis Webster, his son,Mark Webster and wife, Jeanne of Porterville, daughter, Ann Hieronymusand husband, Alan of Nebraska, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.he was preceded in death by his son, Richard in 1984. Remembrances maybe made to the First Presbyterian Church, 351 E. Hermosa, Lindsay, CAor Alzheimer ?s Foundation of, 505 Alluvial, Clovis, CA 93611.
