Note: Family left Pike co., Mo. to Colorado in 1873 and stayed for twoyears. Returned to Missouri by wagon and remained for five years. Thefamily left Missouri by train to Elko, Nevada where they joined awagon train and came through Idaho, eastern Oregon to WashingtonTerritory, arriving near Rosalia, Whitman Co., in October, 1880. (Seehomestead patent #1918)"
