Joseph Thompson Webb M.D.
(29 Jan 1827 - 27 Apr 1880)
He was a physician. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University, 1848, received MD degree from Transylvania Medical College, Lexington, KY. He served in the Civil War as surgeon, 22nd Regt, OVI, 1861-65. He received rank of brevet lieutenant colonel for gallantry, in the Shenandoah Valley Campaign of 1864. He was appointed by Gov. R.B. Hayes as a superintendent of Longview Insane Asylum for three years, 1871-74. He became a member of the Cincinnati Literary Club in 1865. He traveled to Europe. The last two years of his life, he lived in Minneapolis, MN.
