Clois Jay BOONE

Clois went through the 8th grade at the Bingham School, Leelanau Co, MI. He moved in with his grandfather, John Jay Palmer, at the age of 16. He worked as a farmhand and purchased the farm from his grandfather and step-grandmother, Anna Emelia (Kurzer) Palmer which was reorded in Leelanau Co in 1938. He continued as a cherry farmer as did his ancestors, grandfather John Jay, and great-grandfather Daniel. Upon his death, the farm was passed on and purchased by his heirs (See Ref:R1610).
