Christian Bride
(3 Mar 1805 - Aug 1857)
My mother told me that her parents - Christian and Barbara Bride emigrated to America from Switzerland and settled in Sugar Creek Township, Stark County Ohio. I do not know the date. They had six children, the youngest being my other Mary Ann Bride. My grandfather died while quite young and left my grandmother with the children to raise.

Notes
Immigration
Listed as Carl Briet but considering that "Barbe", (Barbara) Anna and "Elise" are on the same ship and their ages are all correct, I believe this to be reasonable. Ship Cahawba departing from Le Havre France. Occupation listed as Farmer.Death
Death date on tombstone is not clear. I'm inferring a death of 1857 from Ruby's comments that he died young and Henry's birth date.Endnotes
