Individual Details
Elisabeth Smith
(Abt 1813 - Bef 1860)
My grandfather Henry Kaylor lived in North Lawrence. He farmed the sons out to farmers after their mother died. I never saw any of my grandparents but I do know my grandmother's maiden name was Smith. Two of her relatives became physicians. They were my father's third cousins.
The other source is the 1850 census in Tuscarawas Township, Stark County, Ohio. In this census she appears with husband Henry Kaylor and 7 children. Elisabeth along with Sam, Rufus, Vanosa, and Silas disappear after this census with no records of deaths or burials. Charlotte is buried in Newman Creek Cemetery. There are descendants from Charles Henry and George Harrison.
There are DNA matches with descendants of the following Smiths that lived in Stark County about the same time: Smith-316873, Smith-316883, and Smith-318360. The parents of none of these Smiths are known. The family of John Smith (Smith-181514) matches Ruby's description above but no DNA matches have been found at this time.
