Individual Details
(1 Nov 1773 - 23 Feb 1814)
Jacob Ranck and his wife, Anna Stock, resided on a Strasburg Township farm purchased for them in April 1802 by Anna's parents, Adam Stock and Maria Weimar. The farm had originally been patented by Jacob Brua, Sr. on 11 April 1750. Jacob Ranck officially bought the farm from his father-in-law on 1 April 1808. The farm is on Georgetown Road along Route 896, south of Rohrer's Mill Road in today's Paradise. Jacob and Anna, presumably, joined the Mennonite faith sometime after their move to Strasburg. Jacob is one of the earliest burials in the Strasburg Mennonite Church Cemetery.
