Martin Bear in April 1746 patented 203 acres on Peters Road, south of New Holland, Earl Township. The Bair Cemetery covers part of this property and part of George Bear's, Martin's brother, adjacent land.

Marriage
Martin Bar may have had three wives. Allan Graber gives only two. If there was a third, her name may have been "Margaret." If so, her and Mardy Bear's wedding year is based on my evaluation of Mardy's children and marriage date for he and Freany Neff. However, Allan Garber does not list Margaret as a wife of Martin Bear.
