Francis Herr Senior

Francis Herr, Sr. was fined during the Revolutionary War for refusing to muster with the militia. He began the Reformed Mennonite Church--services were in English instead of German--in 1785. It wasn't until the late 1880s that the Old Mennonites shifted to English.
