Johann "Jacob" Huber
( - 1759)
Jacob Huber inherited his father's farm in Earl Township. Between 1745 and 1754, he moved to present-day Providence Township, and sold his father's Earl Township land to two of his sons, Hans and Martin. He built and operated a grist mill, which was rebuilt in 1784 by David Strohm and became know as Strohm's Mill. Jacob's 1748 Martyrs' Mirror is in the Muddy Creek Farm Library.
His will, written in 1754, shows his children by his first wife to all be adults, while his children by his second wife were all minors.
