David Martin, Sr. may have been married when he immigrated to America. If so, his wife died at sea in 1727. Likewise, David's first wife was long thought to be "Anna Weber," but Darvin Martin (page 3) found no documentation to support this and found the supposed link between the Martin and Weber families to be unlikely, given immigration dates and patterns.
