Individual Details
Jacob "Nimrod" Bauman Senior
(23 Sep 1722 - 5 Sep 1788)
Jacob Bowman was "of Alleghenyville, Brecknock Township, Berks County, " and a son of Wendel Bowman, according to Benjamin Bowman, who wrote in 1887. This tie to Wendel, though, is now rejected by most researchers according to Emmert F. Bittinger. Rather, Jacob was the grandson of Wendel Bowman, and the son of Christian Bowman. He ran a mill.
