Barbara Neukommet's given name was listed as "Babe" by Charles Whitmer. Richard Warren believes, but cannot prove, that Barbara Neukommet is the daughter of Hans Neukommet. She was an unmarried refugee from Eggiwil, Switzerland, who had briefly stayed in Hoers before arriving inKreigsheim, near Worms, Germany. Babe was counted on 1 January 1672 by Mennonite Ministers Valentine Hutwole and Georg Lichti in a census used by the Dutch Mennonites in Amsterdam to decide how much financial aid to send.
