Martin "Der Alt" Funk
(1 Jan 1693 - 19 Apr 1773)
It is not certain Martin Funk is the son of Heinrich Funk (1643-1735) and Fronica, but it is "most likely" according to Allan Garber.
Martin Funk and Magdalena moved to the Ephrata Cloister, founded by Conrad Beissel in 1732. Allan Garber gave 22 April 1747 for the move, and had Martin becoming an organ builder. Another source, I cannot recall which, had them move around 1737, and had Martin become a paper maker.
