The Newcomers listed Daniel Scheller's name as "David" in one passage and "Daniel" in another. Agnes Long used Daniel, and Thomas Williams, in the detailed section on Christian Scheller, used the name Daniel. I accepted the more detailed section as the best authority.

Daniel Scheller came to Washington County, Maryland in 1844. He was farmer, a deacon and a trustee in the German Baptist Church, now known as the Church of the Brethren.
