Susannah Dishong was probably born in Pennsylvania, and probably the daughter of David Dishong of Franklin County, Virginia, and granddaughter of either Diedrich Wilhelm Dishong who came to Philadelphia on 15 September 1752 aboard the ship Two Brothers or granddaughter of Mathias Dishong who came to Philadelphia on 28 September 1753 aboard the same named ship.
