William Clingenpeel Senior

William Clingenpeel (along with his brother, Francis) enlisted on 25 April 1981 in Kokomo, Indiana into the 13th Indiana Infantry, Company E, United States Army. He received a disability discharge in June 1862. Apparently, William recovered because he reenlisted on 13 August 1862 into the 89th Indiana Infantry, Company F. He was discharged on 19 July 1865 in Mobile, Alabama.

William Clingenpeel's first given names may have been George William, or he may have had a brother named George, according to Allison Cozzi.
