James Orville "Orville" Bowman

Orville Bowman graduated from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia in 1949. He spent his career in public health, starting with the Maryland Department of Health. In 1951 he went to work for the Virginia Department of Health in Hopewell, Virginia. In 1952 he transferred to the Fairfax County Department of Health, retiring as Director of Environmental Health in September 1991. He lived in Fairfax, Virginia from 1952 to 1966. He and Kitty, his wife, moved to Nokomis, Florida in August 1996. Orville enjoyed playing golf, traveling and working in his yard.
