Ray Samuel Bowman

Ray Bowman resided in New Paris, Indiana from 1951 to 1988, and worked at the New Paris Creamery from 1951 to 1985, when he retired. Ray belonged to the New Paris Church of the Brethren and, later, the Manchester Church of the Brethren. During World War II, he worked for the Civilian Public Service in Florida and in Pennsylvania. After the war, Ray was a sea going cowboy for the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation program taking horse to Europe. He attended Virginia Tech and Manchester College.
