Theodorus "Durst" Aebi

Theodorus Eby moved with his parents to Alsace or Palantinate by 1690, according to Richard Eby He worked as a millright.

In 1717, Theodorus came to America. On 10 May 1718 he agreed to buy 300 acres on the west bank of Conestoga Creek, but he never paid. Not clear why, or what the consequences were. At any rate, on 24 August 1724 he had surveyed 307 acres were surveyed on both sides of Mill Creek in present day Earl Township.

His home, built in 1727, still stands at the intersection of Peters Road and Holland Road.

The Durst Eby family Bible is in the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society's library.

Theodours Aebi's parents were Jacob Abe ( -1737) and Barbara Erb, according to Grace Evans.
