Mrs. Philip (Ruth) Beaudry returned home Oct. 18 from a trip to visit her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Beaudry, their daughter, Cheryl, and son, Kevin, of St. Louis and another daughter, Michelle and her husband Mark Hebron, Arthur and Allison of St. Charles, Mo.

Mrs. Philip (Ruth) Beaudry was the guest of honor at a family dinner party to celebrate her 80th birthday on Sunday evening, Jan. 24, at McCarthy's. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Beaudry (Judy Engstrom) and their daughter, Cheryl, of St. Charles, Mo., who were here for six days as guests of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Tritt, and the James Beaudrys' son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hebron and daughters, Erika and Allison of O'Fallon, Mo.
The family group also celebrated the birthday of Mrs. Philip Beaudry's daughter, Mrs. Gene Shefland (Peggy Beaudry), who has the same birthday as her mother, Jan. 26.

Ruth Margaret Beaudry, 91, of Hudson died Friday, Jan. 7, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.
She was born Jan. 26, 1913, in Hudson, the daughter of Otto and Edna (McConnell) Axt.
She was raised in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School in 1931, where she excelled in basketball. She was a member of the 1929 championship girls basketball team and was a silver cup winner in tennis.
On Aug. 4, 1933, in Hudson, she was married to Philip Benjamin Beaudry at St. Patrick's Catholic Rectory.
She was a dedicated homemaker, but when her children were older she worked for Harriet and John Christianson at their Hudson Flower Shop on Locust Street. Later she was employed for many years as a secretary for the St. Croix County Veterans Service Office at the courthouse in Hudson.
She loved playing cards, knitting sweaters and caps, reading and flower gardening. She also spent hours playing piano.
Survivors are her three children, Terrance P. (Arlene) Beaudry of Hudson, Margaret Ruth “Peggy” (Gene L.) Shefland of North Hudson and James (Judy) Beaudry of O'Fallon, Mo.; five grandchildren, Terri Jo ( Donald J.) Lonergan, Michael “Mike” Beaudry, Cheryl (Michael) Dickenson, Michelle (Mark) Hebron and Kevin (Ann) Beaudry; nine great-grandchildren, Shawn Lonergan, Alyssa and Elizabeth Dickenson, Erika, Alison, Abbie, Audrianna and Halie Hebron and Katie Beaudry; and a sister-in-law, Frances (Beaudry) Powers of Hudson.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were her husband, Philip, in 1990; a grandson, Thomas Beaudry, in 1995; and a sister, Janet (Axt) Michaelson, in 2004.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson with Father James Dabruzzi officiating. Organist Elsie Sandquist accompanied the Hope Choir and vocalist Charles Giffin.
Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, where casketbearers were Troy Hartman, Douglas Harmon, Shawn Lonergan, Mike Beaudry, Kevin Beaudry and Donald Lonergan.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at church Tuesday. Memorials are preferred.
The O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson was in charge of arrangements.
