James L. Hughes, 68, died at the Holy Family hospital in New Richmond Sunday, September 23.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 27, from the Beebe Chapel in New Richmond with the Rev. W. Allard officiating.
Burial will be in Willow River cemetery, Hudson. Palbearers will be Wendell Hughes, Eugene Hughes, Charles Hughes, James Hughes, Vernon Germain and Francis Germain.
Hughes was born in the township of St. Joseph, St. Croix county, December 5, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hughes.
He was married to Mary Germain.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Irving Hughes, River Falls and Leo Hughees, Burkhardt; two daughters, Agnes (Mrs. Wayne Staub), New Richmond, and Genevieve (Mrs. Lyle Langness) R1, Stillwater; five grandchildren; four brothers, Myles, Hudson, Eldon, New Richmond, Almon J., Roberts and Walter, St. Paul; one sister, Mrs. John Germain, New Richmond.
He was preceded in death by a son Joseph and a daughter Pearl.
