Anna Catherine Grumm was born 2/26/1837, Wiesederfehn (?), Ostf., Ger. Herparents were Richard Grumm and nee Ancke Heeren. She married A G Zimmerman.
Immigrated in 1857. Printing date of issue was 7/6/1928.
Anna Catherine Grumm was born in Wiesefahn, Ostriesland, Germany. She came to America with her family in 1857, when she was 20 years of age, and the family settled in Dixon, IL. There were six sisters and one brother; William Grumm, Margaret Null, Marie Frerich, Mattie Helgens, Lizzie Heeren and Engel Hanken (mother to Paul Jacobs). They all settled in Jones County, Iowa. She lived to be 90 years old. At the time of her death, there were 30 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
