All of the family are in the Lutheran Church. Mr. Jacobs is a Republican.

Langworthy, Iowa. Feb. 22, 1892Henry Jacobs died last Monday morning. The funeral will be held at the Sandhill church Wednesday.

Mr. Henry Jacobs, a prominent resident of Wayne Township, who has been a citizen of Jones County since 1861, died early Monday morning, February 22nd, after a lingering illness. Mr. Jacobs was a gentleman of the highest probity of character, and greatly respected by his acquaintances. He was born in the kingdom of Hanover, Germany in 1835, and became a resident of the United States at the age of 19. Seven years later he cast his fortunes in Jones County where his life has been one of prosperity. Mr. Jacobs left a widow and seven children, among whom are Mrs. Dr. J. Thomas and Mrs. C.H. Rastede of this place. He lived and died in the faith of the Lutheran church.
