Marjorie Ann Andrews, age 103, died Saturday, April 19, 2003 at the Sun Bridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Marion, Ohio following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held 2:00 Saturday afternoon, April 26, 2003 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello with interment in the North Madison Pioneer Cemetery, Center Junction. Friends may call from 4 until 8 Friday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Rev. Eugene Schipper will officiate at the services. Surviving is a daughter, Dolores Townsend, Marion, Ohio, a son Glenn (Lois) Andrews, Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, 18 Grandchildren, 45 great-Grandchildren, 2 step-great Grandchildren, 23 great-great-Grandchildren and 1 step-great-great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 3 children, Ora Mae Plueger, Buehl Andrews and Ruth Rieken, 3 sisters and 6 Brothers. Marjorie Ann Soper was born, March 5, 1900 in Wayne Township, Jones County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Charles and Mattilda Suhr, Soper. Marjorie received her early education in the rural schools of Wayne Township. She graduated from the Anamosa High School in 1919. Marjorie then taught in the rural schools of Wayne Township. Marjorie Soper and Ora Andrews were married December 20, 1921. The couple later divorced. Marjorie worked as a cook in the Center Junction Schools and worked as a nursing assistant in the Anamosa Hospital, Marshalltown County Home and Long Lake, Minnesota care center. She retired in 1982 and in the fall of 1983 returned to Monticello. She was a member of the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church.
