Notes
Birth
1752 birth date for Thankful Huff calculated from birthdates of her children: Esther b 8 Mar 1782, Elisha 1783, Elijah 1788, Hosea 9 Mar 1791, Anna 27 Sep 1801 and Lucy 1806. However, it's very possible that she was a second wife to Elisha Alderman, so her 1752 birthdate may be off."Wall" is also off, it might be short for Wallingford, which was set off from New Havenin 1670.

STEUBEN COUNTY
Wayne, formed March 18, 1796, was called Frederickstown until 1808. It is on Crooked lake, and is characterized by the uplands with their abrupt descents to stream or lake. Near the outlet of Mud lake, in 1793, Frederick Bartels built a mill, but had been preceded as a settler by Zephaniah Huff and Henry Mapes and a few others in 1791. It is one of the best vineyard towns in the county, and has become in recent years a popular summer resort. Many small hamlets have come in to being, of which the chief are Wayne and Wayne Four Corners.
Sullivan, Dr. James (Editor). The History of New York State. Book VII, Chapter VI. Online Edition by Holice, Deb & Pam.
A publication in Caneadea, NY stated that some of the first settlers were Ephraim Sanford, Jr. and Zephaniah Huff in 1803. Ephraim Sanford's wife, Julia, was Zephaniah Huff's daughter.
Ephraim Sanford next married Julia Huff/Hough [MRIN: 6652]. Julia was born after 1747.

Census (family)
Alderman does not show up in the 1800 census in NY except for a Jonathon.Searchs using only Elisha and Elijah showed the following (mis-read as Adderman) in PA with Phillips, but none found anywhere else. In addition, no Job Phillips/Philips are enumerated in VT or NY in 1800. 2 are in CT, none found anywhere else. This included a search using only the first name Job, (and Jole) to eliminate other mis-spellings.
The children's ages fit, but not the parents, so are they the right families?
