Henry Voigts married Lucille Lovejoy, they homesteaded on ridge above Elder Creek. They lived in San Francisco for a year. Then they homesteaded a ranch in Nevada where they lived for 34 years and raised five children. Then they moved to Nampa, Idaho.

Henry Voigts
Services for Henry B. Voigts, 95, of Nampa, who died Tuesday, Jan. 22, in a Nampa hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa. The Red. David H. Schmidt of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Mr. Voigts, a retired rancher, was born June 14, 1889, in San Francisco, Calif., to Friedrick and Mathilde Schulken Voigts, and was reared and attended schools in San Francisco. He worked on ranches in Wyoming and Montana as a young man.
He married Lucille Mildred Lovejoy on Oct. 2, 1917, in Baker, Ore. He served in Battery C, 37 Field Artillery, U.S. Army, during World War I. They moved to Nevada where he farmed at Orovada from 1918 to 1952., and also worked at mines in Nevada during this period. He also worked at Civilian Conservation Corps Camps in Nevada during the 1930s. They moved to Reno in 1952 and then to Nampa in 1960.
He was a member of the Vernon American Legion Post No. 5, of Winnemucca, Nev., and of War Eagles Barracks No. 459, Veterans of World War I of Nampa.
He is survived by his wife of Nampa; four daughters, Mildred Miller of Nampa, Bess Swinson of Baird, Texas, Verginia "Teena" Sweeney of Nampa and Lois Slade of Boise; one brother, Fred Voigts, of Kentfield, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Loriston Voigts, and by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens Center, 1305 Third St. S, Nampa of flowers my be sent.
Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa until 9 tonight and until time of services on Friday.
