George Bliss
(1591 - 31 Aug 1667)
George emigrated to Boston with his brother Thomas. He purchased a house in Lynn, Mass. on the north side of Boston Bay. He sold the house two years later at a profit and moved to Sandwich where he lived for 12 years. He again sold this property at an excellent profit and settled in Newport, Rhode Island. His name appears on land records in Newport as late as 1660.
