According to the 1860 Census, Miss, Smith County, Toliver Phipps was 26 years old, born in Georgia (1834), and he was married to Sarah (Jane Hughes) Phipps 20, born in Mississippi (1840). They were living in the same household as Martha Hughes 60, born SC, and John Hughes 22, born Miss.There was also a John A. Phipps 23 born Ga 1837 (possibly Toliver's brother,) and possibly a sister or sister-in-law, Amanda Phipps born Ga 1842. Also a John D. Florence 20, farm laborer living there in 1860

This is all the Phipps I found in 1850-1860 card index in Granbury Library.

The information we have is that Toliver Phipps died in Robertson County, TX, Dec 1, 1873.
In the Texas 1903-1940 deaths, there is listed a John Tolever Phipps, died Johnson County,, Tx, Dec 10, 1931, file #57085. Could this be a nephew of Toliver Phipps(1828)?
