AMONG THE LITTLE FOLKS
Last Saturday, February 26, was the 6th birthday of Hazel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Pennington, and in honor of the day her mother gave her a happy birthday party. About 30 of her little friends helped Hazel celebrate the day. They gathered at the Pennington home during the afternoon and had a very happy time playing games. Two birthday cakes, one of which contained six candles, added to the happiness of the occasion. Fruit salad with whipped cream and cake were served. The day was also Mrs. J. M. Bird's birthday, and she was present and shared in the fun which the little folks made. Mrs. Pennington's mother, Mrs. J. A. Younker, of Protection, and Mrs. Younker's sister, Mrs. Louisa McKinney, of Lexington, Ky., were also present. Besides Hazel, the little folks present were: Helen Allderdice, Bobbie Gilchrist, Sonny Smith, Dixie Lee Shaw, Donald Wood, Ellen May Arnold, Wilma and Maxine McLaughlin, Henry and Letha Fox, Jimmie Ulrich, Josephine Jacks, Stanley McIntyre, Mary Botts, Mary Margaret Kimple, Mary Louise Walker, Myrace and Maurice Duncan, Charlotte Johnston, Jane and Mary Lee Stewart, Margaret Schriver, Roger Pepperd, Phyllis Gossett, Virginia Janson, Bettie Harbaugh and Freda Butcher.
Mary Margaret Kimple entertained about 20 of her little friends on Monday afternoon, February 28, the occasion being her seventh birthday anniversary. A Birthday cake with seven lighted pink candles was served, also ice cream and candy. Mary Margaret blew out the candles. The time until about 5:30 was spent by the children in playing games, and it was a most enjoyable time for all of them. The children invited were: Helen Allderdice, Ellen May Arnold, Dixie Lee Shaw, Maxine McLaughlin, Mary Botts, Jane Stewart, Bettie Harbaugh, Mary Louise Walker, Helen Louise Scholle, Hazel Penniington, Josephine Jacks, Margaret Schiver, Mildred Guizlo, Virginia Janson, Freda Butcher, Geraldine Morton, Donald Wood, Wilbur Lytle, James Taylor Smith, Virgil McIntyre, also present were Mary Margaret's teacher, Miss Dorothy Taylor, and Miss Thacker and Miss O'Donnell.
March 1 being the third birthday of Karl Albert Ehrich, his mother gave him a little party. The little friends who helped him celebrate were Donald and Delbert Dale, Robert and Twila Fay Gilchrist, Mildred and Johnny Guizlo, Roger and Don Pepperd and Charlotte Johnston. Games were played and ice cream and cake were served.
Mildred married a preacher with the last name of Brewer.

As a service to its subscribers and as a salute to the alumni of Coldwater High School, the Western Star is pleased to present herewith a complete list of the graduates of Coldwater High School. This covers a span of 78 years -- from 1892 to 1969, inclusive.

Mildred Guizlo Becomes the Bride of the Rev. Brewer
Miss Mildred Guizlo, daughter of Mrs. Ferrel Guizlo, of Coldwater, Kansas, became the bride of the Rev. M. M. Brewer, Jr., of this city, son of the Rev. M. M. Brewer of Springfield, Missouri, in a candlelight ceremony, at the Assembly of God Church in Co'dwater, it was announced today. The bridegroom's father performed the ceremony.
The church was beautifully decorated with fall flowers and an improvised archway of candelabra formed the altar.
Miss Martha Safford played the piano, using hymns for the bridal party to enter the church. Paul Dean Guizlo, brother of the bride sang, "I Love You Truly."
The bridesmaid was Miss Patricia Haney and the Rev. Ellsworth Kalas the best man. The bridesmaid wore an ensemble of green with brown accessories and a daisy corsage.
The bride wore a brown suit, trimmed in gold, with gold accessories, and a corsage of gold-tinted gladioli. She carried a white bible.
A reception was given after the cermony, at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. M. L. Zerby. A huge wedding cake centered the table and refreshments were in keeping with the bride's motif.
Relatives attending the wedding were: The Rev. and Mrs. M. M. Brewer, of Springfield; Mrs. Ferrel Guizlo, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Taylor, Mrs. Roy Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Carleton, Mr. and Mrs. John Hilt, the Rev. C. W. Stafford and daughter, Martha, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Herd and the Rev. and Mrs. M. M. Anspach and family.
The Rev. Brewer is pastor of the Assembly of God Church in this city, and they are residing at 327 North "B" Street.
