Paul Gerhard Eilers MD

Paul Eilers worked as a rural school teacher before becoming a doctor. Sue (Ballou) Lieske has an old souvenir from Jones County, Wayne Township School No. 9 where she went to grade school (the school has long since closed). The souvenir, from 1898, lists the students and says compliments of Paul Eilers, Teacher. (See photo she sent) Paul would have been 21 years old at that time.

Mr. Paul Eilers returned to his studies in the medical department of the Iowa State University at Iowa City, last Monday, after spending a short Thanksgiving vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Eilers.
