Benjamin Flanders is known to have been in Kentucky by 1818, due to the deed abstracts of Hardin and Larue Counties, and the Marriage record of his marriage to Sally Dewitt, 9 March, 1821. George's son Benjamin had not been born yet, so it had to be this George. Additionally, Hardin Co., Ky Marriage Records 1820-1829 record the following: Benjamin Flanders and Sally Dewitt. Surety provided by George Flanders, man's brother. Nancy Dewitt, girl's mother gave consent. Witnesses: William Albert, Delance Marvin, and Mary Dewitt. Service conducted by S. Parker. Note: William Albert is the stepson of George Washington and the son of Asenath Skinner Albert Flanders, by her former husband. According to Kentucky Genealogies and Biographies, Vol. VII, page 210, Benjamin died in 1856, in Nelson Co., KY.
