Per his obituary, George had worked for the Union Granite Company as a stonecutter for 15 years and as an assistant fire chief at the Rocklin Fire Department for 38 years before retiring. Survived by his sisters Constance Jacobsen and Ruby Manes, his brother Albert Harris, his stepson Alan Donoho, as well as one granddaughter, three nieces, and three nephews
