Castle Grove, February 26.Mrs. J. L. Siebels died,at her home in this township, at an early hour, last Saturday, after an illness of less than a week's duration. She attended church the Sunday previous, and had just returned home when she was stricken, her illness being caused by a ruptured artery in the head. She never rallied after she was stricken, and her case was considered hopeless from the first. Mrs. Siebels was a highly respected resident and a splendid woman. She was devoted to her family and a devout Christian, she being a member of the Lutheran church, in this township.

Death of Mrs. Siebels.
Margaretha Siebels, the wife of J. L. Siebels, of Castle Grove township, died, last Saturday, the 22nd, and was buried in the Castle Grove cemetery, February 25th. Mrs. Siebels was born in Germany, April 19, 1856, and was aged 56 years, 10 months and 23 days. Her maiden name was Harms, her father being Olt Harms and her mother Rena Adden. She was married, in Germany, to J. L. Siebels, and they came to the United States in 1882. They had made their home in Castle Grove township about twenty years. Mrs. Siebels is survived by her husband and the following named children: William Siebels, of Monticello, John Siebels, of Castle Grove, Nellie, Anton, Siebel and Mary Siebels, the last four named bsing on the homestead with their father. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. Naether, the pastor of the Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Siebels was a member. She was a good woman, and her friends and neighbors speak very highly of her character and her influence in the community where she resided.
