Capt. Peter Joslin

After working in the fields one July day, Peter returned home to find his wife Sarah and three children, along with Mrs. Whitcomb, who happened to be with them, massacred by Indians. His wife's sister Elizabeth Howe and another one of his children had been taken into captivity. Elizabeth Howe was returned, but his child was not.

Peter married four times.
