William McCulloh

( - )

Margaret Macartney writes to James Iredell in a letter dated Dublin, 20 Mar 1771 (The Papers of James Iredell , Vol 1, p 65), "Cousin Wm. McCulloh is just recover'd out of a dangerous fever. The Girls are Well. Willy is still at Drogheda School. They fear he will have a disagreeable operation soon to go thro' as they have I some cause to think he has a polypus growing in his Nose." This statement is consistent with refering to Margaret's cousin William, son of William McCulloch and grandson of James McCulloch of Grogan. The reference to two daughters and a son attending school at Drogheda also matches the letter dated Dublin, 8 Feb 1768 (Vol 1, p 11), sent by Ann McCulloch, whose brother was attending school at Drogheda.
