TOBIAS BOHLKEN FUNERAL TODAY
SCOTCH GROVE…..Funeral services for Tobias R. Bohlken, 71, Scotch Grove, who died at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, Saturday after an illness of about a week, will be held today (Monday) at 2 p.m. at Wayne Zion Lutheran church  Rev. F.H. Kehren will officiate and internment will be in Wayne Zion cemetery.  Goettsch funeral home, Monticello, is in charge of arrangements.
  Mr.  Bohlen was born April 12, 1884 at Scotch Grove, a son of Gerke H and Meta Tobiason Bohlken.  He was born on the farm which he made his home all his life.
   He married Meta Burrack, Dec. 22, 1908.  They had three children, all surviving:  George H and John F. both of Scotch Grove, and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Saathoff of Mt. Vernon.   Mr. Bohlken's first wife died Dec. 15, 1918 and he married Elise Burrack Eden Oct.11, 1921.  They had two children both of them also surviving: Katherine of Scotch Grove and Mrs. Don (Irma Jean) Skelley of Monticello.
   Other survivors include nine grandchildren:  two brothers, William of Scotch Grove and Ben H. of Monticello; five sisters, Mrs. Kate Paulsen of Center Junction, Mrs. Mary Tobiason of Monticello.  Mrs. Fred A. Hanken of Monticello, Mrs. Howard Soper of Anamosa and Mrs. Henry H. Harms of Scotch Grove.
