William Frymire

BIOGRAPHY OF WILLIAM FRYMIRE (BRK)
William lived in Section 112, Monmouth Township, was born in Breckenridge
County, Kentucky. November 15, 1806. He was a Democrat and a member of
the Christian Church.
He owned a 230 acre farm valued at $11,500. He came to Warren County,
Illinois in 1837 and had held the office of School Director.
He married Mary Polly Bruner, Also a native of Breckenridge County,
Kentucky. They had seven children, five sons and two daughters, and had
lost three.
The above information was listed in the 1877 Warren County Directory
which listed four Frymire brothers; William, John Henry, who were born
in Kentucky and Barney and Hardin D. born in Warren County, Illinois.
According to Ralph B. Eckley, an early Warren County Historian, in an
article from the Monmouth Review Atlas News Paper showing a photgraph of
the Class of 1921 standing by the 'FRYMIRE SCHOOL', And entitled "Family
Named School" .
The school is now a home and is located on U.S. 34 about five miles east
of Monmouth, Illinois. The school is on the north side of
U.S. 34 on the corner south of the wram towers, and about a half mile
south of where John Talbot located in 1928 to become Warren County's
FIRST SETTLER.
According to the 1872 Plat Book, it was located on 46 acres of land
owned by Williams brother Daniel S. Frymire, who ,also, owned 260 acres
across the road to the South. John Frymire had 160 acres across the road
to the North and a little East, and Susanna had 40 acres North of that
place. Daniel S. Frymire was listed as a breeder of Norman H. Horses.
