Death
Allen Richmond Furr, 81, died Thursday. He was a son of the late Albert G. and Mrs. Ada Dry Furr. He was a retired textile worker and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mazel Moss Furr; a daughter, Mrs. James T. Anderson of Chester; brothers, Floyd Furr of Pineville, N.C., Ray Furr of Charlotte and Dewey, James and Ralph Furr, all of Fort Mill; and sisters, Mrs. Allen Stewart of Fort Mill, Mrs. Robert Merritt of Charlotte and Mrs. Bill Whitmire of Charleston. Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Barron Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.The State, Columbia, South Carolina, February 12, 1988
