Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Donna Reid McManus Cherry, 71, died Saturday, April 6, 2024. The family will receive friends 11:00 am – Noon on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Whitesell Funeral Home and a funeral service will follow at Noon with the Rev. David Myers and Josh McManus officiating. A native of Rock Hill, SC Mrs. Cherry was a daughter of the late Ernest Robert McManus and Ella Mae Furr McManus. She will be remembered as a lady who had the greatest love for her children and her grandchildren. Donna was raised in a very loving family. The love between her siblings has always been undeniable. She was the greatest Mother ever in her children’s eyes. She gave her heart and love to the Lord at a very early age and was very devout to the Lord and the Church. Surviving are a daughter, Eula Mae Cherry (Bradon Bowers); a son, Alan Barrentine; a brother, Wayne McManus (Sharon); two sisters, Kathy McManus (Gene) and Barbara Eddington; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis McManus and Terry McManus; and two grandchildren, Kimberly and McKenzlie Bowers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Whitesell Funeral Home is serving the family.
