CLOVER — The funeral for Danny Jerome Furr, 31, of 6087 Lake Wylie Road, who died Thursday at Piedmont Medical Center, will be 3 p.m. today at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Clover, with the Rev. Jerry Cook officiating. Burial will be in Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fort Mill. Mr. Furr was a retired worker for Springs Industries and an army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Surviving are his son, Danny J. Furr Jr. of Rock Hill; his daughter, Darnella J. Furr of Rock Hill; his parents, Rufus Lee Furr and Imogene Knight Furr of Clover; four sisters, Rita Jean Havens of Vardaman, Miss., Maria F. Crump of Lake Wylie, Betty F. Phipps of Brevard, N.C., and Rebecca Ann Furr of Clover; and his maternal grandfather, Willford Collins of Pineville, N.C.The Herald, Rock Hill, South Carolina, January 25, 1986
